Sandy Bridge B3 revision motherboards arrive in Pakistan

ASUS P8H67-M LE

Computer enthusiasts in Pakistan have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of B3 revision sandy bridge motherboards. These boards are unaffected by the cougar point chipset bug that stalled sales of older socket 1155 motherboards. We are now starting to see these bug free mainboards in Pakistani stores.

                     ASUS P8H67-M LE
Two boards have shown up on local vendor’s websites so far. They are the Intel DH67BL and the ASUS P8H67-M LE. Both boards retail for just under Rs. 10,000.
These are micro-atx  boards based on the mainstream oriented H67 chipset. They come with USB 3.0 ports, SATA 6Gbps support and motherboard RAID. The Intel DH67BL has 4 RAM slots for a maximum of 32GB RAM while the ASUS P8H67-M LE has 2 RAM slots for a maximum of 16GB RAM. Both boards come with DVI-D and HDMI ports while ASUS includes an analog VGA port as well. What’s interesting is that you can run multiple independent monitors using these different ports. Also included is a PCIe 2.0 16x slot should you need a discrete graphics card.
One downside is that there is no overclocking the CPU with H67 series chipsets. You will need a P67 board and K series CPU if you want to overclock. B3 revision P67 chipset boards should be arriving in Pakistan soon.
